Why does life often seem to be two steps forward and one back?
Or in my case 6 inches up and 3 down!

Reaching goals in life can be challenging. Whether it’s health, fitness or work related, it takes work and it’s often not a straight shot to the top.

Many people quit. They get that first slip down and they give up. Or maybe it’s the 3rd or 5th…. But, the story is the same, they throw in the towel. ❤️

Don’t throw in the towel!!! Don’t give up! You are worth it!

Also, don’t be afraid to workout in a park full of people. If it’s the only time you have, take it! Instead of being worried about what people might think, focus on who you might inspire. Even if it’s just a set of squats or lunges. Play with those kids and inspire away! Get your body moving!

Your initiative might change someone else’s life. Nothing like a mom with two small kids taking on tough obstacles at the park to help other moms realize it’s possible. (Wondering if I should wear a shirt that says, yes, I had a lot of shit to deal with postpartum just like most women, but I tackled it head on and am working every day to build a better body. Ok, not every day. I don’t have that kind of time, but definitely 3-4 days per week!) Sometimes we look at people and think, “they have it easier than us.” Or some other excuse as to why we can’t change our lives. In some cases, that’s true, some people do have it easier, but there is still room for improvement and we shouldn’t compare to put ourselves down. That’s not being very nice to yourself.

We need to stop focusing on what we can’t do and start focusing on what we can do and where we can go with that. The sky is the limit.
Although, I must admit with full-time work and two small kids I feel like I’m in ninja warrior training for people over 50.

Maybe by the time I’m 50, I’ll be in good enough shape to try out. 😂
Until then, slow, steady and consistent progress wins the race!
